Yanchang Petroleum International is listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange with stock code 00346. The Company mainly engages in up and downstream businesses in oil and gas industry in North America and China. Its major business activities include (i) investment in oil, natural gas and energy related business; (ii) exploration, exploitation and operation of oil and gas; and (iii) fuel oil trading and distribution.
In terms of upstream operations, Yanchang Petroleum International possesses operating oilfields in Saskatchewan and Alberta, Canada, through Novus, a Canadian company. Novus engages in the business of acquiring, exploring for, developing and producing crude oil and natural gas.
In terms of downstream operations, Yanchang Petroleum International holds 70% equity interests in Henan Yanchang which principally engages in wholesale, retail, storage and transportation of refined oil. Yanchang also established petrochemical business in Zhejiang Free Trade Zone and international petrochemical trading business in Shenzhen as to expand the Company’s business map.
