The Exploration Block 2104 is located in the western part of Madagascar with an area of about 20,100 square kilometers and is solely invested by the listed company for exploration. Historically, 5 wells had been drilled, while oil and gas were discovered in 3 wells with depth ranging from 450m to 2,153m.
Yanchang Petroleum International completed a 2D seismic exploration project covering 197 kilometers. Because of the recent fluctuation of international oil price and the lack of historical exploration data of the Exploration Block 2104, Yanchang Petroleum International decided to conduct more detailed geological study before making further plans.
